Dangerous, Skittish and Predator Dogs accepted

I know that it’s very difficult, if not next-to-impossible to find boarding if you have a dysfunctional dog. It’s especially challenging to find any facility that will intake a genuinely dangerous dog. This includes if your dog is dangerous or has been declared dangerous by animal control. If your family prefers to have their dog attend boarding and downtraining instead of booking a private session, please contact me via email james@ArfArfBarkBark.com. This is a new consumer service that I’m offering for May 2023 onward.

All dogs live inside my home. They are NEVER kenneled. If your dog is required to be muzzled, I will work to have your dog unmuzzled as soon as safely possible. I work on integrating your dog to socialize with other dogs here.

Your dog’s boarding/downtraining includes their raw diet meals (breakfast and dinner and snacks). If you prefer your dog on an alternative diet, while in boarding; such as kibble or wet dog food, you must supply enough for the duration of their boarding.

You will need to supply a basic, regular collar for your dog during their stay.

All dogs live inside my home. They learn to socialize with other dogs, including with my four dogs (2 Great Danes, Jindo and Formosan Mountain Dog who is a double-hind leg amputee). Your dog can sleep on anyone of the three couches and I have eleven large dog beds. Dogs are allowed on my bed any time of the day or night. Water bowls are changed several times a day (water is reverse osmosis filtered).

I accept any type of dysfunctional dog. This includes skittish, dangerous, extremely dangerous, predatory or OCD. It does not matter the size nor the severity of your dog’s dysfunctions. Please note that all rates include pick up and drop off from your home in the Greater Vancouver area. Please inquire if you live further away. Included in the rate is two months of unlimited phone consultations.

4-week board/rehab is $6500.
2-week board/rehab is $3500.
1-week board/rehab is $2000.

Please keep in mind that the length of boarding will determine which behaviors you’d like addressed, based on priorities and term of boarding. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Emergency and overnight boarding is $300 per 24 hours.

Your dog MUST be up to date on all their health requirements

Please note that I only board a maximum of two dogs at any one time. Your dog will not be living/sleeping outdoors or in an outbuilding or separate structure, and they will never be kenneled. I’ve never kenneled any of my own dogs (some have come from very traumatic histories and some have been known to be very destructive).

Boarding is available for all stats and holidays, including Christmas and New Year. Because I limit to two available spots, boarding requires a 50% non-refundable deposit to guarantee boarding term.

Group Sessions

“In my group sessions, each dog will receive limited one-on-one work from me. I evaluate a dog’s complex psychological rooting in under one minute. I provide a limited verbal evaluative opinion of your dog’s dysfunctions…essentially a mini-private session. I identify psychogenesis markers. The depth and accuracy of my experience is unmatched.
This is exactly the same process I employ with extremely dangerous dogs weighing over 150 lbs with predatorial intent.
I point out behavior traits that tend to not be understood. Dogs process in 1/10th of a second…my timeline is about 2/10ths of a second which allows me to pattern them.
I have a 100% success rate. The dogs I work alone with are capable of killing humans and animals. They are extremely dangerous and will have extremely significant negative interaction histories.

Want to host a group session for your adopters and fosters while raising funds for your rescue group? James offers rescue orgs and groups with a flat rate for your rescue org or group.

James offers 2 and 3 hour group sessions on select weekends each month, held in Surrey (Tynehead Park area).

Group sessions are for owners of dysfunctional dogs that require immediate psychological evaluation, diagnosis and remedy.

VID training sessions are repeatedly regarded as the most effective and concise training in North America. Most owners attending have previously hired master dog trainers and known international animal behaviorists, such as Dr. Rebecca Ledger, without progress. Often being prescribed medications or told to carry bags of treats.

To downtrain a dangerous, aggressive and/or skittish dog is through intuition and experience. Treat training a dysfunctional dog is passive aggressive Pavlov. Giving treats to a reactive dog is akin to giving a drug addict…more drugs.

James is the only dog trainer in the world to broadcast live via Facebook. This speaks to the level of James’ extensive experience and skill set from having worked over 1400 days, almost 20,000 hours. Alone with extremely dangerous V-10 level dogs genuinely intent on killing humans and animals.

V-10 are predatorial dogs that have attacked at least 12 people, with deliberate intent to mortally wound or kill, exceeding 150 lbs.

Long/Short Term In-House Rehabilitation

Only one dog is accepted per cycle. Any dog accepted into James’ long term in-house rehabilitation must have a history of having attacked or killed other animals. The dog must have an established bite history of physical attacks with humans and/or animals. Minimum weight is 100 lbs. Minimum VID rating of V-7.

Dogs live free-range inside his home. No shock/prong/restrictive collars. No treats/alpha. No medications. All of those brute force training tools are counter-intuitive to a dog’s natural behaviors.

VID scale far exceeds the APDT and Dr. Ian Dunbar’s ‘Bite Level 6’ (causing death). These are dogs beyond their scale. V-6 to V-10 are deliberately predatorial giant dogs weighing a minimum of 100 lbs (V-6) and over 150 lbs (V-10) capable of killing most master dog trainers within 60 minutes.

There is no one in North America that possesses James’ skill level. Guaranteed.

APDT ‘Bite Level 6’ is equivalent to our Dysfunction Scale V-6 (out of V-10). James has independently proven successful rehabilitation and training of true V-10 dogs.
